1st Birthday Shirt

This was my first embroidery job on a shirt and it was harder than I thought it would be. I guess because I have a very small machine and not one of those industrious size ones. The shirt was supposed to have his name on it but I got scared and did not do it.... I was lucky enough to get the 1 pretty centered let alone trying to do the name. The cute little man in the picture is my Godson and he is the cutest little boy ever... Happy First Birthday Caleb!

Baby Gifts

Finally finished with the diaper & wipe holder I have been working on perfecting and also a burp pad. This is a long overdue baby shower gift for one of my closest friends that I am going to see this week. I hope she likes them!

This is the diaper and wipe holder. It is holding 3 size 5 diapers and a travel wipe case.

And here is the burp pad.

Organization!

What can I say.... I have a bad habit of buying scrapbook stickers, embellishments and all other goodies I can scrapbook with, make a card with, craft with... You get the point. I have tones of STUFF! I have my new little craft space that I have been working on for a week now,I should be happy, right? Wrong! I am struggling with organizing it! Where to put what, how to label it, how to organize it.... You get the PICTURE! I have two more "cubes" to put together that I bought yesterday and then I am stopping, organizing and going from there. I am feeling a little overwhelmed!

One of my problems is that I have so many different crafts that I like to do... Scrapbook, stamping, embossing, sewing, making cute little gifts like hair bow holders for my friends kids. With so many different OBSESSIONS, I have tones of different things I need to make each one of my OBSESSIONS come to life. The biggest collection I have is my scrap booking stickers, thinking I will start there!

Ohhhhh.... Maybe I do need one more "cube", need to go to Michael's on Saturday to use that 50% off coupon I have... Thanks Mom for the coupon.

Fun Little Gifts

Here is a fun and easy little gift to make. I don't like the color choice I made with the stamp but all in all they came out cute. You could make them for baby showers, wedding showers, or just little thank yous to friends. Thanks Mom for sending me the YouTube link to make these. Here it is so you can make your own!

Time to organize!

WhoooHooooo! Friday was my official last day of school and boy am I one happy girl, I get all summer to just PLAY! First up this week will be organizing my new crafting space. Tomorrow TJ is going to help me move some "storage" cabinets out of our computer room to make room for my crafting space. I have been buying these white storage cubes from Michael's when they are 50% off since spring break and now I get to put them all together this week. I can't wait until all of my craft stuff is out of boxes and bags and into my new space! I am so excited. I hope to finish by Friday so when my mom comes over to craft with me it will be done. I can't wait to see what all I find that I have not seen in years. Out of sight out of mind! Its going to be like Christmas for me... Stay tuned!

Rainbow Jell-O and Sunflower Hands

So this is to wrap up the last post. I took pictures of the rainbow jello last week and just got a chance to upload them today. The jello I got a chance to take pictures of did not come out right. As you can tell the red, orange and yellow ran together thanks to the quick set method not quick setting :), but you get the idea.

Here is an idea I came up with on the way to school yesterday morning. I can't take all the credit I am sure I just put several different activities together or I saw it somewhere and just forgot. But I thought it was pretty cool and very process oriented. While doing the project with my class we talked about the shape of the paper plate, the color we painted it, the position we glued the plate to the paper, the position of the stem and on and on and on.... You get the picture. We also worked on fine motor skills like picking up the sunflower seeds (pincer grasp) and squeezing the glue. I love art projects like that. Lots of language for my little kiddos! Fun Fun Stuff!

School Stuff

Going to start this blog off with school stuff, not yet summer so I am still on the what to do at school mind-set. One of my most favorite things to do with my "friends" (AKA students) is to tape paper under the table and lay on our backs and draw. This is something I do a lot in my class and the kids just love it.

OH and since our theme is rain and rainbows this week we are making rainbow jello, got it off a website or from my friend Kristi (I can't remember, sorry Kristi) my first year teaching and the kids just love it. We make a jello color a day and layer it into a cup. On he last day we dump it out, add cool whip and enjoy! YUM On top of that what ever color we are working on that day we play "I spy". When my friends find the colors in the room I take a picture of them and we make it into a color picture rainbow. I will post pictures after we are finished. I just love rainbows......

Krazy Obsessions

Ok, here I go! I don't know how often this will be updated, we will have to wait and see during he summer when I have more time. Just thought this would be a wonderful way for me to post things that are not family related and have a Blog just for ME. I guess I am following in my dear friend Kristi's footsteps.
I don't really know where this blog will go or what I will post. It may be about school, or crafts that I am working on at home, or..... I don't know. You will have to wait and see.
